what a great innovation, isn't it? and the potential this unlocks!in the future, maybe we could have these trucks steered autonomously. not with complicated computerised systems, but with simple stationary mechanical guides embedded into the roadand then we could replace the rubber wheels with steel ones, for greater efficiency. this would also allow us to have only one overhead wire, since the mechanical guides could act as return circuitsand then, since all wheels are guided, instead of having many trucks pulling one or a few trailers each, we could have one truck pulling dozens of trailersof course, vehicles this heavy with low-friction wheels are pretty hard to stop, so we might want advanced traffic light systems to take that into account. these would know exactly where each truck is and control the lights accordingly, reserving a path for a truck to pass through and ensuring that no other vehicle obstruct that path. perhaps those traffic lights could even be installed directly into the driver's cab, so the driver can act on traffic lights way before even seeing them

@lis But with this you can leave the guided path when you reach destination without loading or unloading operations. And everywhere on the path, any trailer in the lane.
